The depths of my heart

He made the hearts of them all. And He understands whatever they do.
Psalm 33:15 NLT

I have been reckless and destructive. I have lashed out and my words and actions have taken a toll on others.

And yet …

… He loves me.

And just as importantly, He loves YOU!

The amazing list of emotions that come from the depths of my heart: anguish, deep love, anger, compassion, justification, passion … the list goes on and on. And, once again, the knowing that He knows me just blows me away.

I am so thankful for His love and grace and provision.

What are you thankful for today?

  1. I am thankful for the Lord and all His blessings. I am thankful that the wildfire near me is burning itself out and the mountain communities are safer. I am thankful that my sister and family are safe at this time, a wildfire is surrounding their area, touch and go at this time. not a good situation. I am grateful to have a listening knowing God in my life.

  2. I am thankful for all of the same!
The character and nature of God… His very existence… is love. “I am love.” For Him to cease to love us because of our frailties and failures would mean that He would have to become like us. He would have to become unlove at times. Thanks be to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, He changes not!
