Sometimes I have such a grandiose plan that instead of starting simply I make it incredibly complicated to start at all.
I try to dot every i and cross every t and then I lose momentum to ever begin.
I am so thankful God knows me (He created me!) and knows this about me. When He nudges me down a path, He does not expect me to marathon it — He expects me to take the first steps on the path.
Simply start.
Step-by-step I will gather new info that will help me move forward. I don’t need to know all of the path before I make a move. It involves faith and trust. And it also requires action on my part. The best first action for me is to pray about it. And ask God to keep me aware of what I need to do next. Sometimes the opportunities just start making their appearance. Some I recognize right away, others I am a bit slow on noticing. God even builds in second, third, and forth chances!
Are you psyching yourself out by expecting to know the whole shebang before you even start? Ask God to direct your steps. And simply start.
